If some of the sunflower petals appear shorter or curled inward, that’s because they have yet to fully bloom. You may also notice the sunflowers turn to face the sun as they grow - a nifty process known as sun-tracking!
The vase contains water that may have spilled during travel, so it's important to add more water immediately upon receipt. See our recommended instructions below to best care for your blooms.
To maximize the life of your sunflowers:
Remove the arrangement from the box - be extra careful as the vases contain water and the flowers are delicate.
Remove any extra leaves or foliage (if applicable) that would be below the waterline to avoid contaminating the water.
Add water immediately! To do so, in a separate container, mix a sprinkle of provided flower food with room temperature water and carefully pour into the vase. Hang onto the packet for future waterings and repeat this step daily to prolong the life of your blooms.
Keep the flowers in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight and heat sources (like an oven or radiator).
Summer heat note: Totally bring your flowers outside to accent your picnic or patio barbecues! Don't forget to bring the flowers back inside to keep cool - humidity and direct sunlight will wilt your bouquet.
Some flowers will bloom faster than others and at different times. Remove stems as they expire to keep the others blooming bright!
