Chai Spirits Flower Care

Chai Spirits features a mix of peachy-brown garden roses and antique carnations, arranged as a 360-degree bouquet. Sourced directly from our trusted growers, rest assured that they are the freshest stems around!

Garden roses are known for their ruffled petals and frilly edges and this variety in particular has a natural brownish tint. This is completely normal and what makes them so unique! You may also notice slightly blemished or discoloured outer “guard petals” on the roses, which we intentionally keep on as they protect the bloom during transit.

Your blooms are safely wrapped in a hydration bag and packaged in our signature carrying carton, keeping them fresh until you put them in a vase. See our recommended instructions below to best care for your roses.

To maximize the life of your hand-tied bouquet:

  • Unwrap your flowers and remove the hydration pack.
  • Guard petals (slightly blemished or discoloured outer petals) on the roses are intentionally left on as they protect the bloom during transit. They can be easily removed, if you wish, though we often prefer to leave them intact as they add character and make the rose open nicer!
  • Remove any leaves or foliage that would be below the waterline to avoid contaminating the water.
  • Fill a clean vase with room temperature water and stir in a sprinkle of the provided flower food. Hang onto the package for future waterings.
  • Trim the stems for best water absorption, remove the tie and place flowers in the vase.
  • Change / add fresh water daily, adding a sprinkle of flower food each time to prolong the life of your blooms.
  • Fresh flowers enjoy natural light and to be in a cool, dry environment, just keep them away from direct sunlight and heat sources (like an oven or radiator).
  • Some flowers will bloom faster than others and at different times. Remove stems as they expire to keep the others blooming bright!
