Coral of the Story Flower Care

Coral of the Story features garden-style roses and fancy tulips, arranged as a 360-degree bouquet. Sourced directly from our trusted growers, rest assured that they're the most extraordinary blooms around!

If some of the flowers are still budding, that’s because we send only the freshest farm-cut stems available. This means that you can enjoy them for as long as possible! If you need them blooming for an event, we recommend ordering 2-3 days prior to ensure they open in time. Warmer water will also accelerate the opening should you need.

The garden-style roses in the mix have naturally ruffled petals with frilly edges. This is completely normal and what makes them so unique!

Your bouquet is safely wrapped in a hydration pack and our signature carrying carton, keeping it fresh until you put it in a vase. Tulips drink A LOT of water so make sure to check your vase’s water level regularly and top up as needed! See more recommended instructions below to best care for your flowers.

To maximize the life of your hand-tied bouquet:

  • Unwrap your flowers and remove the hydration pack.
  • Guard petals (slightly blemished or discoloured outer petals) on the roses are intentionally left on as they protect the bloom during transit. They can be easily removed, if you wish, though we often prefer to leave them intact as they add character and make the rose open nicer!
  • Remove any extra leaves or foliage (if applicable) that would be below the waterline to avoid contaminating the water.
  • Fill a clean vase with room temperature water and add a sprinkle of the provided flower food. Hang onto the package for future waterings.
  • Trim the stems for best water absorption, remove the tie and place flowers in the vase.
  • Tulips drink A LOT of water! Change/add fresh water daily and trim the stems every other day to prolong the life of your blooms. If your tulips arrived drooping or curved, they will perk back up as they hydrate!
  • Fresh flowers enjoy natural light and to be in a cool, dry environment, just keep them away from direct sunlight and heat sources (like an oven or radiator).
  • Some flowers will bloom faster than others and at different times. Remove stems as they expire to keep the others blooming bright!
